A Morning in the Life of...

What a smashing couple of hours I spent with this lovely family capturing memories of their life as it is now. We had to be a bit sneaky as this was a surprise Christmas gift for Dad which we actually pulled off. The girls chilled out on their tablet before we played board games and even got some baking underway. The house was filled with the gorgeous smell of tasty baked goods buts that’s to be expected when Heather is responsible for all the tasty bakes of Heather’s Purple Pantry.

The morning took me right back in time to my own childhood; three siblings, plenty of rivalry and much love between them (but keep that last bit of information to yourself). That’s just part of what I love about documentary photography; there is no need to worry about the state of the house, whether everyone is in their best attire or best behaviour. It’s just you and your family, doing what you enjoy doing.
